Post-Hills Fabulousness

Lauren Conrad looking stunning at the Hollywood Style Awards. (But do we really need any more stupid pointless award shows? Apparently, yes.)

What to do...

...about a troublesome co-worker. I really really dislike this guy, but I don't know what to do about it. He is just mean, rude and annoying with a very hot temper—I avoid him as much as possible. I know it sounds bad, but I wish they would just fire him. I think I just triggered a hundred years of bad karma for myself.

Burning money

I just separated with $800 for my student loan. It actually physically hurts to make those payments. The only upside: I can now schedule these wire transfers on my own computer instead of heading down to the bank. Too bad that used to be my excuse for not paying my bill— "Sorry, I can't make it to the bank this week, so I guess I 'll just have to be in next week instead."

Of course, I only got hit with a late payment fee in the mean time. I shouldn't have such a badittude. If I didn't get a good degree I wouldn't have a good job today. I have to start thinking about it as an investment in the rest of my life. It's hard though when you would rather buy shoes and bags for the money.

Brotherly Love

I'm so perplexed over how my brother (above in green) and I can end up being so similar, but still so different. He was the one that (unfairly) got the exercise gene that obviously went missing on my genetic make up.

I really do wish I had a little more of his exercise stamina—he's been a marathon runner, and Iron Man (yup, he actually finished), a triathlete, a mountain biker, and now a road race biker. And he excelled at all. How can it be so unfair?! I hate going to the gym—if you want to torture me, just put me on a treadmill for an hour. I'll just die on the spot.

It's not like I don't like activities—that's a completely different thing–horseback riding, biking, walking, playing basketball. I love all those things, but it's so hard when you have a full time job.

When am I really going to have time for that?  While I'm figuring it out ( I have, for now, ruled out early retirement), I just have to eat lettuce and carrots instead.

Halloween Hauntings

Ok, so here we go, as promised some Halloween decorating. Spent the whole afternoon on the sofa with hot coco watching Sabrina again—for the fiftieth time. I just love that movie, so romantic without being silly. I just checked and it was released in 1995. Wow! That was the year I moved to the US.

Lazy Sundays at Mundy's

Such  a perfect day on Sunday. Strawberry pancakes with butter and maple syrup for breakfast at Mundy's (=heaven), and then pumpkin picking and Halloween decorating.

Ok, so we cheated a little bit and didn't go all the way out east on Long Island to go pumpkin picking as we first had planned, but it was really nice anyway. Martin Vinette in East Norwich always makes it really cute for Halloween, so what's the difference. And they make me feel like I'm five years old again with a farm animal petting zoo and all.
