Trend Spotting: Louis Vuitton Stephen Sprouse Stole Scarf

Tons of celebs have been spotted lately with this Louis Vuitton Blue Nuit Leopard Stole Scarf by Stephen Sprouse (I believe it's from the Summer 2009 collection). I'm actually surprised I like it so much—I usually think most things LV are a bit tacky and I have never really liked any of their stuff—but this scarf is amazing. It comes in beige too, but the Bleu Nuit version is the absolute best.

Although it seems almost impossible to get hold of, check out Ebay (or any of the other auction sites) you may be able to get your hands on one. Just make sure they don't try to pass off a knock-off as the real deal. They don't come cheap though—the authentic ones I have seen are about $1,100-$1,200 each.

Golden Globes: Red Carpet

Really delayed in getting this post up. Another crazy day at work yesterday. It's going to be so nice to have the whole summer off!

Anyway, the Golden Globes Red Carpet. I was surprised to not see any major home runs this year. A continuing trend seemed to be tons really light shades of nude, grey peach and pink. despite the slim pickings, my top four would probably be Jennifer Garner in Versace, Drew Barrymore in Atelier Versace (although I don't know how I feel about those weird things on her hip and shoulder, maybe a little too much space suit), Jennifer Aniston (stringy hair aside) in Valentino and Emily Blunt in Dolce and Gabbana.

Worst dressed: These ladies will be placed in the hall of shame. Julianne Moore in Balenciaga, Zoe Saldana in Louis Vuitton, Diane Kruger in Christian Lacroix, Jennifer Morrison in Luis Antonio. All fashion atrocities.

Love at First Sight

So I finally go around to buy my new laptop this weekend. Oh my gosh, it's the most beautiful thing ever. A cute little white MacBook with LED-backlit screen and Mac OS X Snow Leopard operating system. And it's so fast...especially compared to my old monstrosity of a laptop. I think I should be all set to work from home later this spring.

Now I just need to get started transferring all my old files...

Fashion Classic: Breton Stripes

Following in the path of Coco Chanel, I'm obsessed with Breton striped tops. I picked up a really cute one at Esprit in Sweden, and tons of people have asked me where I got it. Apparently it's not available on the US market, but I found a few alternatives:

For Chits-and-Giggles

Today must be my lucky day.

One, we are one of two finalists in our "new business" pitch from Monday (I'm feeling quite invincible); two, I got an amazing hand massage from my husband on the train on the morning commute; and three, I was just ID:ed for buying spray paint. Apparently there is a question around whether I look 18 or older. I'll take that any day. I guess she didn't see my preggo belly (or maybe she thought I would be a teen mother tagging buildings in heirloom white spray paint).

Anyway, I'm all set to kick off the weekend with a bag full of spray paint (yes, I really am of legal age), a cup of guilt free skim milk hot chocolate on my desk and just a few minutes left of craziness for this week.

And just for fun, here is the belly for today—22 weeks on the dot. I used to think my boobs were really huge and sticking out, but now compared to my somewhat paunchy belly, I look flat chested. I can't win. Only 18 more weeks to go. Whoo hoo!

Tomorrow— get the stupid washer fixed, one-hour massage, and start paining baby furniture.

Choo 24/7

New collection of delish sandals from Jimmy Choo for Spring. These just brings me joy!

Another sign of the times—huge price reduction in the MRSP this season. Most pairs seem to run somewhere between $525-695. Pricey, but hundreds of dollars less than last year. Check out Saks.com for the full collection.

A Little Nip and a Little Tuck

Heidi Montag has gone under the knife again and gotten a little too much of a good thing. Ahhh...and she used to be so pretty!

Apparently she had ten procedures done in one day, which included (among other things) neck lipo, mini brow lift, botox, a chin reduction and another nose job and breast augmentation. This time to a DDD cup. Is she completely insane?! I think she beginning to look like a porn star. And I hope she realize that she has to maintain those babies with new implants every 10 years. The worst part is that she says she's not done. She wants more surgery—and she's only 23!
