One Fine Day
Today was the most amazing day. A great doctor's appointment and then lunch at Maialino—plus 88 F weather! What could be better?!
Food at Maialino's was delish. And to make it even better, Anna Wintour and Isaac Mizrahi were lunching together at the table next to us! I was completely star stuck. And yes, in case you were wondering, her iconic bob looks just as perfect in person as in the pictures.
Face of an Angel
Last ultra sound today. Our baby is now 5 lbs 2 oz! Of course she is still not cooperating so I guess our "she" may become a "he" at delivery. In that case, I hope he'll like pink =)
I'm currently at +34 lbs. Tons of salads and workouts this summer, for sure. I guess it could have been much worse. I've been trying to stay active these past 8 months, but it's getting harder and harder. My suspected fractured rib ended up being a torn ligament in my rib. A healthy growing baby and powerful kicks can do some damage. Yikes, that hurts a lot!
Above two sono images from today—that face is cute as a button. At one point, she was sticking out her tongue—she has the longest tongue I have ever seen!

Summer Sneaks from Tretorn
Every summer I try on a pair white low top Converse thinking that they are going to fit, and I leave the store empty handed every time. For some reason I'm right between two sizes—one is a little to tight and the other way to big. I don't understand why they can't match the standard shoe sizing of all other companies. So frustrating.
This year, I have found my alternative though. Swedish company Tretorn, based in Helsingborg, makes the cutest canvas sneaks for running around—the Tretorn Canvas T56 sneakers. Comes in six colors, but the white ones are my faves. Comfy and cute—perfect with my denim mini.
I'm Dead in the Water
No internet connection, no e-mail, and no network all day. What did people do before computers, e-mail and the internet? I find myself stomping around the office in anger wondering why everything is down. Arrg!
On the upside—that mountain of paper on my desk is all taken care of, all my reports are done, proposals written, projections completed and all my banner ads are released. I can go home without a guilty conscience.
Doctor's appointment tomorrow with my last sonogram. Hopefully this little one will cooperate and we'll know for sure if it's a boy or a girl. 80% certainty just doesn't cut it. She's also been kicking my rib a million times so hard that I swear it's fractured. I'm in agony.
The company is also having a private lunch party at Maialino's (Danny Meyer's new place) tomorrow to celebrate my baby. Whoo hoo—I've been dying to go there! To bad I have to stick to seltzer...
