CND Shellac Nail Polish

I heard about this a few months ago, but I'm yet to try it. This new hybrid nail polish is a mix between a gel manicure and a regular one. It's a little more expensive, but it lasts for over two weeks! NO chipping, smudging or breaking. Plus, there's no drying time—perfect for me since I hate sitting in the dryer. It supposedly makes your nails really strong and it's gentle too.

The only draw back is the limited number of colors, but I read on their web site that you can layer colors to create new shades.

I'm totally sold on this. Next time I'll bit the bullet and just go for it.

Hard Candy

Just treated myself to a pedicure to make it a little more bearable to be away form my baby. Decided to just go for a classic bright red—my toe nails now look like 10 red little Jolly Ranchers. Yummy! Makes me feel like getting some candy...

Available Now: Blue de Chanel

Just ordered the new fragrance from Chanel—Bleu de Chanel. It's for men, but I heard you can go unisex with this one so I thought my husband and I would share it. This is a little bit of a crazy order since I have no idea what it smells like. Although I usually like Chanel's fragrances (Coco Mademoiselle is one of my all time favorites), you never know—I absolutely hate Chanel No. 5.

Color Mania

So I didn't get around to get a pedi yesterday, but at least I got my manicure and brow wax completed. I'm always running late—no matter how well I plan. I picked this bright hot pink from Color Club called Pink Flame. A little whacky, but I love doing something different. Of course I already managed to mess it up a little popping out one of the Invisalign trays . Typically me. I'm such a mess sometimes.

New Fragrance from Clarins

Well, it's not totally new (it was released in May), but I just discovered it at Bloomingdale's tonight. It's really fresh and light, not heavy at all—perfect for everyday. I'm horrible at deciphering the ingredients in perfumes, but supposedly it's a blend of different citruses, bergamont, wild rose, mint, bay leaves, black currant, white musk and tons of other scents. And surprisingly it's priced lower than any other fragrance that I checked out the past few months. I think this will be the next fragrance I get. I'm still undecided between Versace Versus and this one...

Spa Night

Sitting back feeling super accomplished—we actually managed to get all windows installed AND go to a BBQ today. We are all set for the siding! It's amazing how everything is moving along now when I have been home with Campbell.

The reward for a job well done—a home spa night. A hot bath (yes in deed, it feels great even in the summer), peel off facial mask, and an at-home manicure. I just put on my new favorite nail color—deep, bright metallic purple (Sally Hansen 01 Cyber HD nail color). Totally fun.

And a quick post-natal diet update. Minus one more pound. 40 pounds bye-bye, 4 more pounds to go. But then again, I would love to go further than that. You can never be too thin or too rich, right? ...or so I've heard at least.

Hair Wonders

Just got these two styling products and they are absolutely wonderful. The Nexxus Thermal Volumizing Heat Protection Mousse really helps protect your hair while using hot irons and blow driers, and the Moroccan Oil Gold Glimmer Shine Spray makes your hair look super healthy.

Hair Trial and Error

I have been abusing my hair for years. Multiple layers of bleached highlights, curling irons, flat irons. You name it, I have done it. To try to repair the damage, I think I've bought every product under the sun and nothing seemed to help my poor hair. Frizz, breakage and severe damage.

Of few months ago, my friend Iva told me to use Nexxus products, especially Emergencee. She swore by their stuff. I have to agree with her—I think these have been the best products ever. My hair has actually start showing some signs of improvement. The shine is finally coming back. Of course, a cut every 8 weeks helps too =)

This is the regiment I swear by.

1. Nexxus Therappe Shampoo. I wash my hair only twice a week, but I rinse and condition every day.
2. Nexxus Emergencee treatment. I use it every two weeks.
3. Nexxus Therappe Shampoo. A second wash if you used the Emergencee treatment.
4. Nexxus Humectress Conditioner (let it stay in your hair for at least 2 minutes)
5. L'anza Trauma Treatment Leave in conditioner.

You can get the Nexxus products in any drugstore that carry salon brands, but the L'anza you have to get at your salon or online. I get the 1 liter bottles at amazon.com for an amazing deal with free shipping.

Beauty Talk: The Organic Pharmacy

I love this British company that only produce organic beauty products. Tons of skin, hair and body care products—they even have a product line for babies.

Although all prices are in GBP, they do ship to the US for a flat fee of $15.00, and any order over $100.00 ships free.
