myshells jewelry

It's amazing how you can work with someone everyday and not know anything about what they do outside of work. I just found out this week that one of the girls I work with makes this amazing seashell jewelry—all for sale at etsy.

She uses shells from the Philippines and hand carves and polishes them into these amazing rings and necklaces. I'm obsessed with these two rings—they are absolutely beautiful and unique.

There are currently just a few available for sale, but you can check them out at myshells.etsy.com. Prices start at $45.00,

Shopping the Neighborhood: Flatiron

I always get excited when I find new places in my neighborhood. Today I spotted two really cute little shops on 23rd Street (south side of the street), right by 5th Avenue—Yamak and Stephan & Co. Delicate gold leaf necklaces, stone rings, leather bracelets and cool cuffs. This is definately the place to stop by if you are like me and like funky and unusual jewelry.

Mixed Metals

I'm totally loving gold and silver mixed together for the fall. I know it used to be a fashion faux-pas to wear the two together but I think those old rule are kind of out-dated. These silver and gold bangles from BCBG is absolutely adorable. I would love to pair it with with this über-chic snake ring.
