Clean Sweep

Spent all weekend sorting and tossing everything in my closet and bathroom cabinet. It's amazing how good it feels getting rid of old stuff and make room for some new cute stuff. 

In the midst of a mini make over around the house (a white couch doesn't really work with a baby around.) New couch, new bed frame and this cute coffee table from West Elm. How clever isn't this table—its a table, desk and storage chest all at once. And it looks amazing too. Just a few new pieces to make a huge difference. We have been working on refurbishing six vintage Marcel Breuer chairs from Knoll. Hopefully we can figure out how to re-cane them ourselves. Another project on the list!

Just a few days until Valentine's Day and although we don't really celebrate that much, this year I have gotten the hubby something super special. I have searched high and low for a replacement of something that once was lost. Something I know was really close to his heart and it's been on his mind ever since.

Well, being a lucky dog, I finally managed to find an exact copy. I feel all giddy, and I have to try really hard to not give it to him early (I know I would regret it later on, when I would be left empty handed on Valentine's Day...)
