Labor Day Weekend is Here!
So much to do, and so little time. Just another 9 weeks to go until baby Arthur will make his debut. Nursery is ready, and we are getting ready for a long relaxing Labor Day weekend. But, maybe if I feel super ambitious, some paint will even go up on our bedroom walls. I really want to spruce up our sleeping quarters a little in preparation for 3 months at home with Baby A.
Had an early morning wake-up call by this little ballerina the other day. She is so excited to start dance this fall—she has already made it clear that ballet is her favorite.
Just another hour or so until I pack up my bag for the weekend and head back out to suburbia—whee!

Five Chukkas
Squeezed in a day off from our otherwise jam-packed schedule and headed over to Bethpage for the Sunday's polo game. Perfect weather for a day on the side lines. No rain and no blazing sun—at 31 weeks, the summer sun is not turing out to be a friend. We had never been to the polo grounds that are literally 10 minutes from our house, and we actually had pretty low expectations. But the day turned out perfect! All the kids played nicely together, Cami got to go riding on one of the ponies and she even made friends with a quarter horse names Jack Bauer over by the trailers. I have promised to bring her for lessons as soon as they will let her.
I was only missing the champagne in my glass...next season, my friends, next season!

Nursery: Sneak Peek
Before
Getting close
We have now two busy weekends behind us, and in just a couple of days, we have cleared out the old nursery, plastered, painted and started to furnish our little baby boy's new room. Here's a sneak peek how far we have gotten since just last saturday—of course, curtains, pictures and some more furniture is still missing—but we are pretty close. I'm hoping that in another couple of weeks we should be all set—I really want to have a few relaxing weeks toward the end of this pregnancy! More pictures to come once we are all set.

A Vacation in 20 Acts
Last batch of vacation photos. We had such eventful and relaxing two weeks, and every day we ended up doing something new and fun. I think these 20 photos best capture the highlights of our trip! Tons of horses (Cami is obsessed), good food, good friends and family, fun trips and exciting adventures. I hope when she gets a little older that she will go by herself for a couple of weeks to visit grandma, Stickan, and the rest of the gang.
Now onwards to more summer fun in NY and baby arrival preparations!

Organizing. Cleaning. Painting.
Rainy morning and now a beautiful clear and sunny afternoon and evening. Perfect day to satisfy my need to nest. I have ordered tons of stuff for the nursery for delivery next week, so I really want to finish painting and cleaning this weekend.
Wrapping up for today, but hopefully we can get the last coat of paint on tomorrow morning before we head to the beach!

Green Bunnies and Rides
Headed up to Gothenburg for a quick two-day side trip with the parents, siblings and cousins. Cami's first time at an amusement park—and of course she loved it. The bigger, faster and more dangerous the ride was, the more she liked it.
Silly me completely forgot until the day of that they don't let pregnant girls on the fun rides. No roller coaster for me this year (the ferris wheel was about as exciting as it got for me). Luckily we had a spa day schooled for the next day. Perfect for big bellies and tired feet.
Only 12 more weeks to go today. Nesting instincts in full swing and this weekend will be a busy one with both unpacking , cleaning and painting that little nursery!
