Happy Ten

Can't believe that ten years ago today, the boy of my dreams became my husband. I love you more than words can say.

With a broken washing machine, small water leak in the bathroom, unpacked suitcases, and severe jet lag, we're celebrating by being couch potatoes with a bottle of champagne and steaks on grill. Postponing the real festivities two weeks when we have a romantic weekend planned in the city. For now, I'll settle for a good nights sleep...

Fingers crossed, we'll have some of our vacay pictures up here by the weekend.

Sweet dreams, all.

Beauty

Still sorting through all the photos from vaca—all 1500 of then. I think I have been a little too trigger happy with the camera. In the meantime, rest your eyes on the beautiful Blake Lively as photographed for Glamour.

Get Lucky

Finally at the end of a long day—only three days left to work before we leave on vacation! I really need a nice relaxing holiday. But before we sneak off, we have our LBi + Hyper Island Summer Party Extravaganza! Still not sure what to wear and no dress code has been provided. I think I'll rather be over-dressed than under-dressed. I think I need to do a deep dive into my closet!

Still a long night ahead (I'm totally jacked up on red bull right now). I really have to drag down the luggage from the attic and get packing! I tend to always over pack, so this time I'm going to try to be good and really edit down the list.

Well, with everything going on, if I'm really lucky, I may just be able to squeeze in a mani and pedi in my new favorite Essie color Geranium—amazing old school orangy-red.

Champagne and Horses

Crazy day on Governor's Island yesterday for the 2011 Veuve Cliquot Polo Classic. An hour long wait for the ferry ride in each direction and and island jam packed with people—but even with all that, we had such a great time. I did hear that the tents ran out of food and champagne fairly early on, but we had made picnic baskets and a stroller with three bottles of champagne so we were all set.

Had a beautiful view of New York harbor from the island, and the ferry ride gave us the most amazing view of the Statue of Liberty in the sunset. But best of all, a whole day with friends and family, horses and champagne. A great time to be a New Yorker!

Seaside Retreat

Had our premier day at the beach on Saturday, but it actually ended up being a really cold day by the water and we didn't stay long. We didn't even get to bask in the sun for even a minute—I was so chilly I was wrapped up in a towel the whole time. But we had enough time for a quick lunch and some photos.

But the weather really didn't matter—we had such a great time anyway. We are so happy that Campbell ended up loving both the sand and the water! She was so little last summer that we couldn't tell if she was going to be a beach bum like both her parents. Well, she was constantly making a dash for the water and we had to run after her to make sure she didn't go in to far! Saturday there was actually still no swimming allowed—I hope it isn't because of the sharks that were spotted out in the Hamptons =)

Had a full day at the Veuve polo today, so I'm exhausted and it's time to go night night. More pictures tomorrow...

Summer in the Burbs

Here's the last batch of pictures from the holiday weekend. Wonderfully relaxing BBQ with friends. Our crazy little peanut, of course, thought that the family sheep dog was her stuffed polar bear from her room at home (they do look kind of similar right?) A wrestling match was in order--thank god for kindhearted and patient dogs!

One more work day until weekend again--gosh, I love short work weeks.
