Leather & Sparkles

Some new stuff I acquired for my fall wardrobe. I know it's still just July, but I have been burned before when I waited too long to order the things I just had to, had to, have.

These vegan leather pants from Dax are amazing, and no girl's closet is ever complete without a little sparkle. The top in midnight blue and gold is enough to make me swoon. Ahh, the little things in life that can just make everything seem perfect!

Topped off with my black patent stilettos as the cherry on the ice cream—it's making my heart just go la di da! Almost making me wish it was fall already...ok, just almost =/

Hot Tamale

Just acquired this dress for a night out with the girls next week. Nothing better than a white dress when you have a nice tan going. Maybe paired with my nude patent heels and a cute clutch. 

Ordered it online, so I'm not a hundred percent sure how it's going to fit—I for sure hope it's not to sheer! I've already started the count-down until it arrives. T minus 3 days!

Time has been flying by this summer. I just noticed that I haven’t posted for over two weeks. Shame on me!

It’s been a whirlwind of a summer so far, and the last two weekends have been jam packed with fun. Thank god we are staying put this weekend—I need some time at home.

Headed over to Kismet on Fire Island the weekend before last. Every time I’m back, I’m reminded what a little paradise it is. Not fancy by any means, but just nice and laid back—no high heels needed here! A bikini, a pair of shorts, and flip-flops is all you need. I absolutely adore places like that. (Not that I don’t love slipping into a pretty dress and put on lipstick once in a while too.)

Spent all of Saturday out on the boat this past weekend. What an amazing day for a sail! A decent breeze coming out of the east was filling our sails just perfectly, and we were out in the Long Island Sound in no time.  Snapped a few photos, so I’ll try to get a few up here soon.

Happy independence day, y'all!

Holiday Road!

Happy almost Independence Day! Holiday fun has officially begun and I'm finally relaxing with a glass of Chardonnay and Lucky magazine while tonight's steaks are marinating in the fridge.

We had initially planned on heading down to Kismet, Fire Island, tomorrow for a day on the beach with all the Arthurs, but since the day is going to be iffy, I think we'll just hang by the pool instead. Maybe if we feel ambitious we'll head down to Oyster Bay for the fire works. Of course, I am a fair weather girl, so if any rain moves in, I'll be snuggled up inside instead.

I know it's a little far in between my updates and I hope to get a little better. To start it off, here are a few photos from last weekend. Gosh, Sunday was just amazing—hot and sunny. Just the way I love it. Now in hindsight, I wish we had brought the boards with us since the surf was just perfect. Maybe next time!?
